LA PUNTA ZICATELA, OAXACA, MEXICO

I don’t remember what I did this day in terms of activities. I didn’t write it on my calendar. My friend Todd Prager and his family were visiting. We probably went surfing. I just have this time stamped file iPhone voice memo, and the lyrics written down in a yellow, Mexican school kid’s book I got at a drug store, and used as a journal. The handwriting is written really fast without many changes to the words. I do remember recording the song. It was a hot afternoon. I made a few of them like this. I had a patio in this adobe style building looking out into a garden. There was a ceiling fan, terra cotta tile floor, and a plastic white table and chairs. I sat out there a lot during my time in La Punta. This is a pretty strong song, and easy to play. The recording here exhibited here was one of the first times playing it all the way through.
