Addressing a period in life marked by uncertainty and isolation, THE LIGHT SWITCHES enlist Skullface to produce a cover version of Bob Dylan’s “When the Ship Comes In,” to submit to a record company compilation that may never be released.

💀
-I enjoy the bass sound we were able to record with Tom Edler’s Japanese bass.
-The wild piano performance on the final verse tapped into a theory that the software instrument responds to pounding on the keyboard by creating ghost, grace notes.
-It’s not perfect but we certainly gave it a very honest effort, and finished a task from start to finish.

-The layered vocals on the final verse needed to be recorded further from the microphone, or else processed more carefully to eliminate the harshness that occurred and fell outside our time budget to correct.
